Read more and become an Artist Member here.\n\n\nJuror: Tina Villaveces\, Founder & Director of Yellow Studio\n\nJuror Bio: Tina Villaveces is a recent Brooklyn transplant who has dedicated the majority of her career to the arts. Having spent almost a decade working in commercial art galleries and museums in NYC\, she has a deep appreciation for those who create and a strong sense of commitment for authenticity. Tina finds joy in learning and discovering\, which she makes her routine by connecting and supporting women at Yellow Studio. \nTina has an MA in Museum Studies with a concentration in Contemporary Art from NYU and a BA in Art History with minors in Architecture and French from Trinity College in Hartford\, CT. \nTina worked at Pace Gallery\, Sean Kelly\, James Cohan and D’Amelio Terras\, plus interned at numerous museums including the MoMA\, Guggenheim and Whitney. She also worked as a Project Manager at Pentagram. Most recently\, she did a stint at The Aldrich in Ridgefield and volunteered at the Katonah Museum of Art. She is currently a board member of the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association. \nTina lives in Pound Ridge with her husband and their two young sons. \n\n\n\nTo submit via email:\n\nSend up to 3 artwork images and a list of artwork details (title\, date\, medium\, dimensions and price) to Tina Villaveces at tina@yellowstudiony.com. There is no theme. We would like to see recent work that you have not shown locally and that you are eager for your community to see.\n\nPlease include your Artist Statement and Bio.\n\nSubmission fee: $35\nThis non-refundable fee can be paid via Zelle to tina@yellowstudiony.com.\n\nArtwork guidelines:\n\nAll media are welcome. \nWall art must be no larger than 40 inches in any direction\, including frame.\nWall art must be wired. \nPlease no sawtooth hanging hardware\, no French cleats\, no corner hanging hardware. \nHanging sculpture must be no larger than 36 inches in any direction and weigh less than 15 pounds. \nFreestanding sculpture is limited to a 4 foot square footprint (2 feet x 2 feet) and 20 pounds maximum. \nLimited pedestals are available. \nYellow Studio receives a commission of 40% of the artwork price.

SUMMARY:Nature & Sustainability Club x Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture
DESCRIPTION:Join the Nature & Sustainability Club to explore the tastes and beautiful grounds of the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture.  Through farm-to-table foods\, and an Innovation Labs Explore Tour\, we will both learn about and experience sustainable local farming.  Blue Hill at Stone Barns is a renowned farm-to-table restaurant that is part of the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture\, a nonprofit farm and educational center.  (Please note: we will not be dining at Blue Hill. We will be dining at the Cafeteria. More information below.) \nPlease also note that the timing of this event will depend on Stone Barns’ availability. The event will begin at breakfast or lunchtime.  If the tours sell out\, your ticket will be refunded. \nWe will meet at Stone Barns and partake in the following two events: \nExplore Tour: The Farm and Innovation Labs $75 \nA 60- minute exploration of the property led by a member of the education team\, introducing Stone Barns’ most current and exciting work! For the first 30 minutes we will visit some of the growing spaces\, understand the holistic relationship between the farm and the kitchen through the lens of the farm team. For the 2nd half\, we will get to taste test the collaboration and narratives through the lab spaces of the bakery and the kitchen. **Please note that other groups visiting Stone Barns will be joining the Yellow Studio group for this tour. \nLunch Tray $48 \nLocated in the newly renovated Cafeteria\, where the gift shop once was\, preceding that\, a transformed horse stable. A casual cafeteria-style lunch tray that features small plates that highlight Stone Barns work with whole grains\, preservation and butchery. You have the options of a regular or a vegetarian meal. They can accommodate all major restrictions\, kindly notify us in advance. \n  \nTickets: $135 (including tax + administration fee) \nLimited to 10 Yellow Studio Members.  \nPlease note that we must have a final headcount and folks registered by August 14 at 10am. Stone Barns requires Yellow Studio to book on this date. \nPlease do not try to buy your own tickets through Stone Barns.
