SUMMARY:In Bloom: A Floral Art Installation in The Co-Op and Beehive at Yellow Studio
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nYellow Studio is constantly evolving and exploring new opportunities. Flowers in bloom serve as a visual reminder of the beauty in growth through change. In June\, we are celebrating the third anniversary of Yellow Studio with additional space to display art and expand our engagement with women owned businesses in the community. In this spirit\, Yellow Studio invited women Artists in the community working across all mediums to submit their floral artwork – work that is inspired by or a depiction of flowers. This installation is on view in The Co-Op and Beehive at Yellow Studio from June 21 to August 31. Please note that artwork will rotate in this installation. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday August 9 for this unique opportunity – to have your portrait painted by local Artist Jessica Miller.\n  \n\nEach 7 x 5 inch expressionist portrait will capture the subject’s likeness and mood\, painted in one half-hour sitting.\n  \n\nAll are welcome to sit for a portrait\, including children accompanied by an adult.\n  \n\nEach portrait is $250.\n  \n\nThere will be 6 portrait sessions. \n  \n\nPlease register below.\n  \n\n\n“Bold\, decisive\, and dynamic are just some of the adjectives that describe Jessica Miller’s work. Vibrant brushwork and vivid color embolden her canvas with a unique expression that captures the essence of her subjects. She is best known for her portraits\, recognizable for their expressionist style and vibrant color\, one of which is featured on the cover of the 2023 New York Times bestseller Hello Beautiful. After graduating from the University of Michigan\, Jessica studied at the School of Visual Arts and at the Art Students League in New York\, with legendary painter Hananiah Harari\, later continuing her studies with acclaimed portrait and landscape artist Andrew Lattimore.
