Bowls\, urns\, cups\, and forms beyond naming – each one built to receive\, to enclose\, to keep. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday July 11 for this unique opportunity – to have your portrait painted by local Artist Jessica Miller. \nEach 7 x 5 inch expressionist portrait will capture the subject’s likeness and mood\, painted in one half-hour sitting. \nAll are welcome to sit for a portrait\, including children accompanied by an adult. \nEach portrait is $250. \nThere will be 6 portrait sessions. \nPlease register below. \n“Bold\, decisive\, and dynamic are just some of the adjectives that describe Jessica Miller’s work. Jessica’s work seems influenced by the Fauvists of the 20th century yet remains uniquely and formidably an expression of herself and her time.” — Andrew Lattimore \n  \nAbout Jessica Miller\nOriginally from northern Michigan\, Jessica now makes her home in the Hudson River Valley. She is best known for her portraits\, recognizable for their expressionist style and vibrant color\, one of which is featured on the cover of the 2023 New York Times bestseller Hello Beautiful. After graduating from the University of Michigan\, Jessica studied at the School of Visual Arts and at the Art Students League in New York\, with legendary painter Hananiah Harari\, later continuing her studies with acclaimed portrait and landscape artist Andrew Lattimore.
