All are welcome. \n  \nAbout the Exhibition \nThe Gallery at Yellow Studio presents “Sweet Surrender\,” a solo exhibition featuring new abstract works by Katonah-based artist Tricia Caracappa\, running from September 13 to October 11\, 2025. The exhibition investigates the transformative power of creative trust\, showcasing dynamic abstract landscapes that emerge when artistic control gives way to intuitive expression. “Sweet Surrender” chronicles Caracappa’s artistic evolution as she abandons rigid creative constraints to embrace a more fluid\, meditative practice\, working barefoot in her studio with music as her guide and allowing intuition and energy to direct her process. \nThe works showcase Caracappa’s unique blend of design sensibility and abstract expression. The exhibition features custom copper and wood sculptures designed by the artist\, complementing her paintings created with acrylics\, inks\, oil sticks\, and charcoal that reveal glimpses of beautifully dyed canvas beneath textured layers. Based in Katonah\, New York\, she holds a BS from Providence College and a degree in interior design from Parsons. After leaving her corporate career at Morgan Stanley\, Caracappa has dedicated herself to creating energetic art and guiding women to curate soul-filled homes through intentional design. She currently serves on the board of the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association\, and her work is held in private collections nationwide. Notable recent exhibitions include her solo show “Possibilities” at The Gallery at Yellow Studio in 2023.

Belonging may manifest as comfort or conflict\, as intimacy or distance\, as visibility or erasure. \nBelonging is both a condition and a question. It describes our ties to place\, community\, and history\, while also exposing the fragility of those bonds. Tina finds joy in learning and discovering\, which she makes her routine by connecting and supporting women at Yellow Studio. \nTina has an MA in Museum Studies with a concentration in Contemporary Art from NYU and a BA in Art History with minors in Architecture and French from Trinity College in Hartford\, CT. \nTina worked at Pace Gallery\, Sean Kelly\, James Cohan and D’Amelio Terras\, plus interned at numerous museums including the MoMA\, Guggenheim and Whitney. She also worked as a Project Manager at Pentagram. Most recently\, she did a stint at The Aldrich in Ridgefield and volunteered at the Katonah Museum of Art. Tina has served as a juror for exhibitions with the National Association of Women Artists\, Katonah Museum Artists’ Association and Rowayton Arts Center. Working from her Ridgefield studio\, Cloud Farm Industries\, she transforms everyday Italian experiences into vibrant celebrations of color and memory. She has exhibited at the Curator’s Gallery in Chelsea\, the Gwangju Biennale\, the Daegu International Textile Show in Korea\, and the Honolulu Museum of Art. Solomon has been a resident at VCCA (Virginia Center for the Creative Arts) and received a grant from the Urban Artists Initiative. \nAntoinette Wysocki is a New York-based multimedia artist whose work explores abstracted organic forms and microcosmic narratives through layered installations and paintings that balance chance and control. She holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. DESCRIPTION:Join us for live music with Julie Rosenberg and Sam Popkin in The Co-Op at Yellow Studio on Thursday February 26\, 6 to 7:30pm. \nAs accomplished musicians\, Julie and Sam began their friendship out of their mutual and infinite love of guitars. In this collaboration they bring together their styles of playing to the stage\, in a special collaboration that will include music from their favorite bands that will include The Who\, The Beatles\, and Led Zeppelin. \nLight refreshments will be available. \nJulie Rosenberg is a guitarist whose passion for the instrument began at age nine\, the first time she held one in her hands. Growing up\, she played lead guitar and drums in multiple bands and later studied jazz guitar in college as a BFA major before ultimately switching to physical therapy. Today\, she performs as guitarist in her trio\, Reservoir Road Band\, collaborates with other musicians\, and also performs solo. Her early musical influences include Jimi Hendrix\, Jimmy Page\, Carlos Santana\, as well as\, the rhythmic and iconic sounds of disco and pop. Her improvisational\, spontaneous playing style reflects her passion for abstract art as a painter\, along with her deep\, long-standing appreciation for jazz and rock music. \nSam Popkin is a New York based guitarist\, audio-engineer and multi-instrumentalist. He specializes in learning songs by ear\, breaking them down note-for-note\, while using vintage accurate gear. \nCome visit the new Gear Wall at The Co-Op at Yellow Studio and welcome our latest vendor\, Julie Rosenberg Guitar. \n\n\nRSVP strongly suggested below. All are welcome. \n  \nAbout Julie Rosenberg Guitar\nJulie Rosenberg is a Katonah\, NY-based musician and artist who owns a business that sells her brand of hand-painted\, one-of-a-kind electric guitars\, and accessories. Her customers are guitarists and collectors that span across the United States. Products that she creates and sells on her website range from electric guitars and pickguards to GuitarGrips and other parts of guitars. Julie plays guitar in the community in her trio called\, Reservoir Road Band\, and other musicians\, also as a solo performer.⁠\n⁠\nAs a vendor in The Co-Op at Yellow Studio\, Julie is excited to bring her products to life in an up-close and in-person local setting. From January through March\, 2026\, Julie will offer a variety of her products over three themed months\, for example\, January is Pickguard Central and currently features acoustic and electric pickguards\, and an electric guitar with one of her hand-painted pickguards. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday March 13 at 10am for a studio visit of Alissa Leigh’s new backyard studio\, where she now creates her abstract paintings in a compact\, very intentional space. She’ll share how she organizes her materials\, how she’s able to work efficiently in a small footprint while allowing her process to lead the way. The visit will focus on how space\, routine\, and intuition shape her work. \nMember RSVP required. All Members welcome!  \nAlissa’s studio address will be shared after RSVPs are received.  \n  \nAbout Alissa Leigh \nAlissa Leigh is a self-taught mixed media abstract artist based in Bedford\, NY. She discovered painting while grieving the loss of her mother—and it became a powerful path to healing and self-expression. Alissa’s work is bold\, layered\, and emotionally charged\, blending acrylics\, paper\, charcoal\, and ink to create pieces that radiate movement and joy. She creates original paintings\, limited edition prints\, and handmade art objects that speak without words. Her goal is simple: to make art that connects—art that helps people feel more deeply and live more freely.
