In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll get started on creating a handmade lightweight scarf, and walk away with the skills and materials you need to finish it. Don’t worry if you’ve never crocheted before; this event is designed with true beginners in mind. All it takes is a bit of practice and a desire to learn, and you’ll get the hang of it in no time! Cassie and Jen will guide you through the basic stitches and techniques needed to start your crochet journey.

About Loop de Loop

Cassie Coccaro and Jen Chau Fontán first bonded over their love of crochet. Sharing patterns, swooning over yarn, remarking about how fun and relaxing it can be, and cheering each other on–-especially when one of them has made something really cute for one of their daughters (Cassie has two and Jen has one)–-has been so fun and central to their friendship. 

Cassie and Jen decided to cement their shared love of crochet by starting a joint initiative, Loop de Loop, so they could spread the joy of making things to others. Cassie and Jen are both full-time working moms in the fields of communications and coaching, respectfully. In their spare time, you can find them with crochet hooks in their hands, setting up a pop-up shop, or teaching crochet to kids and adults.
