January 18 @ 6:30 pm
$64.00 – $80.00Inspired by historical mending practices, this workshop will explore hand stitching and embroidery techniques to increase the longevity of what’s already in your closet! We will cover iron on patching to embroidery so that everyone will feel empowered to mend whatever hole or snag comes their way (children’s clothes anyone…).
Workshop attendees will receive mending kits with all materials needed, including needles, thread, pins, thimble, tailor’s chalk, fusible interfacing, iron patching material, a digital booklet for following along and more.
Please bring a clothing item or two to practice your new mending skills – woven fabrics (non-stretch) work best.
No sewing experience required.
Limited to 12 attendees.
4 spots available for Non-Members.
