Yellow Studio Nature & Sustainability Club
October 28, 2023 @ 10:00 am
FreeOur first club outing will be to Grace Farms on Saturday October 28 (rescheduled from October 7) at 10am. Join us as we explore Grace Farms and its sprawling 80 acres of natural landscape, native perennials, and multiple diverse habitats. We’ll begin the day sipping tea in the Pavilion and sharing a little about how nature has impacted our lives while enjoying 360-degree views of the property. We’ll end our first club meeting with a self-guided tour through the grounds and the River building. Learn more about Grace Farms and its impactful humanitarian work here.
The club will gather to learn and exchange ideas on sustainable practices for our homes, and daily lives through interactive workshops that are focused on ways to reduce our environmental footprint and promote eco-friendly living. We will alternate every other month between Sustainability Workshops and meetings to gather and enjoy nature. We will organize outdoor trips to local nature locations, where we connect with the environment, appreciate its beauty, and develop a deeper understanding of our responsibility to protect it. We look forward to hosting a clothing swap, a visit to Grace Farms, and workshops on local sustainable food, environmentally friendly fashion, and sustainable living.
