About Rebecca Rivard:

Rebecca’s journey as an artist has always been deeply influenced by her early exposure to diverse forms of creativity. Raised by a mother who stroked melodies on the piano and stitched intricate quilts, and a father who sculpted with clay, glass, and paint, Rebecca was surrounded by artistic inspiration. This rich environment fueled her own artistic passion, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

After graduation, Rebecca dedicated herself to the non-profit sector, developing art programs for children and training teachers. This hands-on work, coupled with the joy of sharing her passion with curious young minds, invigorated her artistic explorations. As a mother of three, she continued to nurture her creative spirit through various endeavors, including children’s book illustration and running her own piano studio.

Her students’ creativity inspired Rebecca to further her education, studying composition and digital music production at Juilliard’s Evening Division. This blend of music and visual arts culminated in her project, 52songsforu, where she created original music paired with self-shot videos.

Today, Rebecca’s artwork is a testament to her lifelong journey of creative exploration. Her paintings uniquely weave textures and blend different styles, often incorporating freestyle elements with linear mappings.
