The Gallery at Yellow Studio is pleased to present "Dreaming in Color," a captivating exhibition featuring the works of Katy Ferrarone, Emily Keating Snyder, and Allison Rietta. This show explores the intersection of mindfulness, color, and geometric abstraction in contemporary art. The exhibition runs from September 14 to October 11, with an opening reception on Saturday, September 14 from 4-6pm.
In "Dreaming in Color," these three artists invite viewers into a world where meditation meets canvas. Ferrarone's circular forms and repetitive marks map the landscape of the mind, Keating Snyder's embroidered canvases blend craft and fine art, and Rietta's geometric abstractions explore mystic patterns and sacred sounds. Each artist uses color as a powerful tool to evoke emotion and presence, creating works that resonate on a deeply personal level.
Please RSVP. All are welcome.
On September 19, dive into the beauty of fall through the eyes of abstract art.
Learn to mix vibrant, warm autumn hues and create an abstract painting inspired by the landscape of the Northeast in the Fall…. apple orchards, pumpkin patches, rustic barns, reservoirs with a backdrop of patchwork mountains, dirt roads freckled with colorful leaves.
Bring your own inspirational photo or choose from one on hand to get you in the joyful mood of using fall color palettes and nature's inspiration to create warm earthy abstract art.
Join the Nature & Sustainability Club to explore the tastes and beautiful grounds of the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture. Through farm-to-table foods, and an Innovation Labs Explore Tour, we will both learn about and experience sustainable local farming. Blue Hill at Stone Barns is a renowned farm-to-table restaurant that is part of the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture, a nonprofit farm and educational center. (Please note: we will not be dining at Blue Hill. We will be dining at the Cafeteria.)
Please also note that the timing of this event will depend on Stone Barns' availability. The event will begin at breakfast or lunchtime. If the tours sell out, your ticket will be refunded.
