Join members of New York Collage Ensemble for an afternoon of collaging on Saturday June 15 at 1pm.

Perspectives is a vibrant showcase of the unique voices and artistic approaches of each New York Collage Ensemble (NYCE) founding member. The exhibition offers a kaleidoscope of styles and themes. Carol Paik, Susan Lerner, Orit Mardkha-Tenzer, Meghan Larimer and Stacey Burgay will share some of their varying processes behind the works of art in the current exhibit Perspectives. There will be open time for participants to make their own collages based on their learnings.

What you’ll learn in this workshop:

– Inspirations and processes of members of the New York Collage Ensemble

– How to get started on your own collage

– Basic principles for interesting compositions

– How to source materials for a collage

Limited to 12 participants. 

Materials will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring magazines and materials they might want to pull from.

This workshop is meant for ages 16+ and will run 1 hour 30 min. Supervised children over the age of 8 are welcome with a parent.

The Perspectives Artists Talk will follow at 3pm.
