  • Submissions: Writers’ Salon

As the season changes, so does the light. Our imagination follows, the end of longer days, the beginning of magical times. Beginning, ending, continuing. Light and dark, day and night, autumn turns to winter. What stories come with that?

Do you have a story about twilight? Changing light? Final embers or seeds of hope? We want to read it.

Broad interpretations, as well as all genres welcome -- fiction, non-fiction, short play, poetry.

Submissions accepted from September 1 to September 22.

Five pieces will be selected from the first twenty-five submissions received by September 22. The winners will read their work at the Writers’ Salon at Yellow Studio, in person, on Wednesday, October 29 at 7pm.

  • Writing Club

Once monthly we will be dedicating space and time for writing in the Gallery. We'll use the first hour for writing, followed by discussion. If you're interested in turning your thoughts into words–but struggle to put pen to paper–these 'butt in seat' accountability sessions are a great way to get started!

  • Writing Club: Writers on Writing – From Creation to Press

Join us for a collaborative discussion with writers on getting their ideas to paper. Everyone has a different journey and while writing can seem like a solo adventure, there is a whole community of writers that can help us on our writing odyssey.

Lauren Porté-Schwarzfeld will lead our discussion with local authors Lauren Acampora, Jimin Han and Heather Harpham on topics ranging from the ups and downs of the creative process to the nitty-gritty path to publishing. The talk will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions and chat with the authors.

    $20.00 – $25.00
  • SPARK Your Life: Story Medicine for Modern Women with Tambra McCarthy

SPARK Your Life: Story Medicine for Modern Women
As we move further into the fall season—a natural time of release and renewal—SPARK Your Life invites you to align with the rhythm of nature and the deeper call of your soul.

It's also a perfect time to check in with 2025 being the Year of the Snake - which carries the energy of transformation and rebirth. Just as the snake releases its old skin, you are invited to let go of outdated stories and step fully into your truth.

This 3-part workshop series, led by Tami McCarthy, blends breathwork, mindfulness, and creative expression to help you reclaim your voice, reconnect with your inner fire, and be witnessed in your becoming.

Let this be your season of sacred transformation. Your story is sacred. Your voice is powerful. Your life is your art.

    $140.00 – $175.00
