How to Write a Short Play with Serena Norr

Two sessions: Thursday January 2 and Tuesday January 21
Learn how to craft and write your own short play in this two-part workshop! Join Serena Norr of Let's Make a Play for an immersive workshop to help you to go from idea to the first draft of your play. The class includes a discussion about the structural components of developing plays as well as character development, establishing tone, setting, and creating structure. The class also includes readings of scripts, prompts, hand-outs, and group sharing. The second session ends with some fine-tuning of your plays and a staged reading of your work. No experience is necessary!

Once monthly we will be dedicating space and time for writing in the Gallery. Please join us quietly between 10 and 11; optional sharing and discussions will begin at 11. If you're interested in turning your thoughts into words–but struggle to put pen to paper–these 'butt in seat' accountability sessions are a great way to get started!
