The Art of Photo Transfer Workshop with Monique Ford

The art of photo transfer has been around for 200 years. Used in experimental techniques from a photo-engraved printing plate, prior to the emergence of fine art photography. There are many different approaches in our contemporary landscape incorporating photo transfer. Join Monique Ford on Thursday March 26 at 6:30pm to explore fine art techniques that transform your photos and elevate your memories.

About Monique Ford
Monique Ford is a visual and performing artist whose narrative paintings explore the female form. Her work has received numerous accolades, including Best in Show at both the 34th Annual Bedford Art Show and the 57th Artists of the Northeast Exhibition at the Silvermine Arts Center.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Plattsburgh State University in 2003 and her Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in 2006. Based in Bedford Village, New York, Ford works at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College and teaches at the Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah Art Center, and Bethany Arts Community.
With over twenty years of experience in visual arts education, Ford has devoted much of her career to working with nonprofit arts organizations throughout New York City and Westchester County, engaging students ranging from early childhood to older adulthood. She currently serves as the Exhibition Chair for the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association.
