This is New York in full: the glitz and the grit, the hustle and the hush, the overlooked and the unforgettable.⁠
The bodega roses and the wildflowers growing through the guardrail on the Taconic. The street corner that changed everything and the vista that took your breath away. The New York you moved toward and the one you couldn't leave behind.⁠
Fourteen women and non-binary artists. Painting, works on paper, textiles, and photography.⁠
All work is available for purchase and made to live with.⁠

The Gallery at Yellow Studio presents "Traces of the Infinite," a small group exhibition featuring the work of Helena Palazzi, Soli Pierce, and Lara Saget, on view September 12 through October 18, 2026. The exhibition brings together three practices that share an interest in a rawness of material and form, and a refusal to treat separation as final. Join us on Saturday, September 12 for an artists' talk at 3pm and an opening reception from 4 to 6pm.

Join the Art Club on Friday September 25 as we explore The Armory Show in NYC! A cornerstone of New York’s cultural landscape since 1994, The Armory Show opens New York’s fall art season by bringing the world’s leading international contemporary and modern art galleries to the Javits Center each year. The fair emphasizes thoughtful programming, elevated presentations, curatorial excellence, meaningful institutional partnerships, and engaging public art activations.

Since June 2025, Loaf on Paper has been a cozy stationery and café space in the heart of Williamsburg, built for calm and creativity, a place to journal, sip coffee, and discover a small treasure to take home. It offers a thoughtfully curated collection of Japanese paper goods, craft supplies, and unique lifestyle items, alongside specialty coffee and seasonal baked treats. Now, in collaboration with Yellow Studio, a community-driven art gallery and creative hub, that spirit is moving to the walls.

Whimsy isn't about being silly for silliness's sake. It's seeing the world sideways, finding wonder in the ordinary. As Yayoi Kusama put it: "Polka dots are fabulous."

That's the spirit we were seeking: artwork that plays, that surprises, that lets curiosity lead.

All selected artwork is original, whimsical artwork, 12 x 12 inches or smaller, priced at $500 or less. 

Submissions will be accepted from October 7 to 21 via Artwork Archive.

Join Karen Lerner of 333Knits for a relaxed, welcoming 3-part knitting workshop where you'll work on completing projects or starting new ones. Whether you're picking up needles for the first time or have unfinished projects waiting in a bag somewhere, all skill levels are welcome. Karen will guide you through techniques as needed and help troubleshoot along the way.

The Gallery at Yellow Studio presents Life Still, a group exhibition featuring Noa Charuvi, Allison Green, Marie McNicholas, Lily Morgan, Sophie Reisz, and Lindsey Cherek Waller, on view October 24 through November 29, 2026. Bringing together painting, sculpture, and installation, the exhibition approaches objects and interiors, some of art history's most enduring subject matter, from a distinctly contemporary viewpoint, nodding to the traditional format while asking what we notice and what we value. Join us for an opening reception on Sunday, November 1, from 4 to 6pm. 

These artists turn their attention to things that are easily passed by or dismissed: household wares and garments, sequins, discarded and mundane objects, unfinished architectural spaces, and a single radish or a wedge of blue cheese. Some works draw directly on history. Reisz looks to seventeenth century Dutch and Flemish still life painting, Waller works within the traditions of still life, and memento mori, and Green draws on folk textile practices such as quilting, embroidery, and dressmaking. Others extend the idea of still life into new territory, from Charuvi's paintings of architectural sites and interiors to McNicholas's juxtapositions of discarded objects and nature to Morgan's accumulations of reflective, synthetic materials. In their hands, an overlooked object or an empty interior becomes a way into larger questions about memory, value, and how we relate to one another.
