  • The Yellow Show in The Co-Op at Yellow Studio

For The Yellow Show Open Call, Yellow Studio invited women artists working across all media to submit work that engages with yellow in unexpected ways.

Yellow defies simple meaning. It signals joy and caution, abundance and decay, clarity and hazard. It's sacred gold and rubber gloves, daffodils and taxi cabs.

This open call invited artists to investigate yellow in all its complexity: as pigment, symbol, cultural signifier, emotional landscape, and more.

What does yellow mean to you? What does it reveal? Come see for yourself, from February 27 to May 10.

  • Submissions – Fiber Forward: An Open Call to Women and Non-Binary Artists for Fiber Art

The Gallery at Yellow Studio invites women and non-binary artists to submit work that challenges conventional perceptions of fiber art. We seek innovative approaches that expand the medium's possibilities; work that complicates boundaries between decoration and concept, tradition and innovation, or material and meaning.

This exhibition will showcase fiber art as a site of experimentation, examining how artists are reimagining thread, fabric, rope, and other fibrous materials as vehicles for critical inquiry, spatial intervention, technological integration, or performative practice.

    Submissions Open: Wednesday, March 11
    Submissions Close: Sunday, April 12

  • New date! Nature & Sustainability Club: Warm Up at The Orchid Show

Escape the winter chill with Yellow Studio’s Nature and Sustainability Club at the annual Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden, themed “Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle.” This immersive exhibition transforms iconic New York City scenes—stoops, slice shops, and even the subway—into vibrant floral landscapes. The show is designed by Mr. Flower Fantastic, one of the world’s most sought-after floral artists, known for blending nature, fashion, pop culture, and sustainability. His journey from his mother’s garden in Queens to global collaborations with brands like Nike and Louis Vuitton brings a powerful local-meets-global narrative to the experience.

The Gallery at Yellow Studio presents Multitudes, a group exhibition featuring Allison Belolan, Dorian Goldman, Anne Pollard James, and Angela Strassheim, on view March 21 through April 19, 2026. The exhibition brings together painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture to examine how women perceive themselves and their bodies, and how others perceive them. The works investigate the many versions of ourselves that exist simultaneously: the self we know, the self others see, the roles we inhabit, and the experiences we share. Join us for an opening reception on Saturday, March 21, from 4 to 6pm.

  • Submissions: Hold – An Exhibition of Vessels and Objects in The Co-Op at Yellow Studio

Yellow Studio invites women and non-binary artists to submit three-dimensional work for Hold — an exhibition of vessels and objects. We are looking for work that physically contains, encloses, or surrounds. Bowls, vases, mugs, urns and beyond. Forms built to receive something, or to keep it in.

We welcome work in any material: ceramics, glass, metal, wood, resin, found objects, and combinations. The form is the focus. What the object holds — and how it holds it — is up to you.*

*The submitted vessels and objects must be empty.

    Submissions Open: Wednesday, April 1

    Submissions Close: Sunday, April 12
