  • Opening Reception: Boundaries featuring Beth Dary, Amy Kupferberg, Rita Maas and Mary Negro

    The Gallery at Yellow Studio presents Boundaries, a group exhibition bringing together four women artists whose conceptually driven practices explore the spaces where systems break down, blur, or transform. Through photography, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media, Beth Dary, Amy Kupferberg, Rita Maas, and Mary Negro each use abstraction as a tool to process complexity, whether examining information systems, environmental change, material transformation, or the uncertainties of contemporary life. The exhibition runs from January 10 through February 8, 2026.

  • Film Club: Viewing of the film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You followed by Q&A with filmmaker Mary Bronstein at Jacob Burns Film Center

    Join us for the next Film Club on Thursday, January 15 at Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville to view the selected film, If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (2025), written and directed by Mary Bronstein, a New York-based filmmaker known for her raw style. 
    The film stars Rose Byrne with a notable cast including Conan O'Brien, Christian Slater, A$AP Rocky, and Danielle Macdonald.
    The film will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Mary Bronstein.

  • New date! Art Club Studio Visit: Jessica Porter

    Join us for a studio visit with Jessica Porter on Friday January 16 at 10am in Tarrytown. During our visit, Jessica will explain and show her detailed artwork process, from initial inspiration, sketches, color palette development to final painting. All an extension from her training and professional background as an interior architect. She will dive into her archived files from her past paintings and commissions from her notebook sketches as well as some paintings that are currently in the works. This visit will give the Art Club a glimpse into the layered approach to her compositions that spark memory, feelings and depth.

  • Nature and Sustainability Club: Winter Sowing for Summer Gardening Workshop with Molly Felde

    Please join the YS Nature & Sustainability Club on Thursday January 22 at 6pm for a workshop on successfully growing native plants from seed led by Molly Felde. 

    Fight the winter blues by starting your garden in January! Growing natives from seed is easy when you winter sow in containers. This workshop will get you started with the materials and seeds you need to easily and economically add more life to your garden this next growing season. Plus, native plants provide essential habitat and food for local wildlife and are easy to maintain once they’re established.

    Explore the art of trace monotype printmaking at Yellow Studio on the evening of January 29. In this hands-on beginner workshop, artist and printmaker Allison Belolan will guide you through a drawing-based printmaking technique pioneered by Paul Gauguin and used by contemporary artists like Tracy Emin.

    Once monthly we will be dedicating space and time for writing in the Gallery. We’ll use the first hour for writing, followed by discussion. If you’re interested in turning your thoughts into words–but struggle to put pen to paper–these ‘butt in seat’ accountability sessions are a great way to get started!
