Join Leslie Sowa of Salt Point Farm on July 31 at 11am for a beginner-friendly workshop exploring the ancient art of infusing skin-loving botanicals into your own body care products. You will leave with two herbal oils of your own creation and the knowledge of how to make the most potent infusions possible. You can use these oils for skin nourishing moisture or as an ingredient in your own healing salves, lotions, body butters, and more.

Interested in receiving feedback on your work? The Writing Club will be hosting Critique Night once every other month. Our next Critique Night is Wednesday August 6 at 7pm.
We’re planning a relaxed evening hike at Mountain Lakes Park, led by Yellow Studio member Jaime Gorman of Highland Goat, a local cannabis gummy producer. We’ll take a scenic route through the park, stopping to connect with nature and our beautiful surroundings. After the hike, we’ll head just a few minutes down the road to Jaime’s lakeside spot to cool off with a swim, enjoy drinks and snacks on the dock, and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Join us on Saturday August 9 for this unique opportunity – to have your portrait painted by local Artist Jessica Miller.
Each 7 x 5 inch expressionist portrait will capture the subject’s likeness and mood, painted in one half-hour sitting.
All are welcome to sit for a portrait, including children accompanied by an adult.
Each portrait is $250.
There will be 6 portrait sessions.

In this two hour workshop Angela will demonstrate an inexpensive and effective way to document your artwork for gallery show submissions and for your website. You will leave with simple tools to make better images inexpensively with what you already have or can purchase affordably. This is an Iphone Demo using hot lights you can purchase at any hardware store. These slight adjustments and tricks will provide you with a better outcome and give you the confidence to “do it yourself”!
