Yellow Studio invites women artists in the community to submit their small-format work – pieces that demonstrate how artistic vision and craftsmanship can create a profound impact within modest dimensions.
The Gallery at Yellow Studio invites Yellow Studio Artist Members to consider the many dimensions of belonging: the spaces we claim and those that exclude us; the materials and gestures through which we forge connection; the tension between individuality and collectivity; the ways language, memory, and culture root us—or unsettle us. Belonging may manifest as comfort or conflict, as intimacy or distance, as visibility or erasure.
Belonging is both a condition and a question. It describes our ties to place, community, and history, while also exposing the fragility of those bonds. In a world marked by migration, displacement, cultural hybridity, and shifting identities, belonging becomes less a fixed state than a process, something continually negotiated, reimagined, and reshaped.
Artists working across all media are encouraged to submit works that explore how belonging is constructed, disrupted, or reinvented, and what it means to find, or make, one’s place in the world.
The Gallery at Yellow Studio presents Scent of the Sea / Profumo del Mare, a vibrant collection of paintings and photographs that transports viewers to the sun-drenched coastlines of Italy's Amalfi Coast. Running from October 18 to November 15, 2025, this evocative exhibition presents artist Jennie Carr's comprehensive love letter to Italy through three distinct artistic approaches: candid street photography, abstract works on maps and architectural drawings, and pop art-inspired paintings that celebrate Italian everyday life. Join us for an opening reception on Sunday, October 19, from 4 to 6pm.
Join us on Saturday October 25 for this unique opportunity – to have your portrait painted by local Artist Jessica Miller.

Born in the chaos of the pandemic, when stages went dark and calendars disappeared, Still Standing Monologues began as a virtual lifeline. What started as comics and storytellers speaking into the abyss has evolved into a fearless night of truth, laughter, and resilience.
Now, this powerful show comes to Yellow Studio, a creative home where women gather to connect, create, and inspire. Featuring Tami McCarthy, Alyce Chan, Robin Reitzes w/Julie Rosenberg and Luz Michelle, bold voices sharing their stories through comedy, storytelling, and song.
They’re fierce. They’re funny. They’re still standing. Doors open at 7pm, showtime is 7:30pm.
From delicate drawings to vibrant paintings, mixed media pieces to photography, “Small Works” brings together 55 women artists who understand that powerful impact doesn’t require grand scale. These perfectly sized pieces are ideal for first-time collectors, thoughtful gift-givers, or anyone who appreciates the charm of intimate artwork.

On view from Saturday, November 22, through Sunday, December 21, 2025. Celebrate with us at the opening reception on Saturday, December 6, from 4 to 6pm.
