  • The Art of Photo Transfer Workshop with Monique Ford

The art of photo transfer has been around for 200 years. Used in experimental techniques from a photo-engraved printing plate, prior to the emergence of fine art photography. There are many different approaches in our contemporary landscape incorporating photo transfer. Join Monique Ford on Thursday March 26 at 6:30pm to explore fine art techniques that transform your photos and elevate your memories.

  • Submissions: Hold – An Exhibition of Vessels and Objects in The Co-Op at Yellow Studio

Yellow Studio invites women and non-binary artists to submit three-dimensional work for Hold — an exhibition of vessels and objects. We are looking for work that physically contains, encloses, or surrounds. Bowls, vases, mugs, urns and beyond. Forms built to receive something, or to keep it in.

We welcome work in any material: ceramics, glass, metal, wood, resin, found objects, and combinations. The form is the focus. What the object holds — and how it holds it — is up to you.*

*The submitted vessels and objects must be empty.

    Submissions Open: Wednesday, April 1

    Submissions Close: Sunday, April 12

  • Art Club: Visit to Metro Art Studios

On Friday, April 10, the Yellow Studio Art Club is heading to Metro Art Studios in Bridgeport, CT — and we'd love for you to join us!

We'll spend the morning exploring some of the building's 38 artist studios, browsing the shop, and taking in the current exhibition in the Crown Gallery: Twist and Shout.

  • Mindfulness Club: Finding Wholeness

For this month’s gathering, we’ll focus on grounding techniques to help us root into the present moment with more calm and ease. Less micromanaging. Pause to simply meet ourselves where we are, and trust in the unfolding of things.
