  • Submissions: Yellow Studio Juried Member Show

The Gallery at Yellow Studio invites Yellow Studio Artist Members to consider the many dimensions of belonging: the spaces we claim and those that exclude us; the materials and gestures through which we forge connection; the tension between individuality and collectivity; the ways language, memory, and culture root us—or unsettle us. Belonging may manifest as comfort or conflict, as intimacy or distance, as visibility or erasure.

Belonging is both a condition and a question. It describes our ties to place, community, and history, while also exposing the fragility of those bonds. In a world marked by migration, displacement, cultural hybridity, and shifting identities, belonging becomes less a fixed state than a process, something continually negotiated, reimagined, and reshaped.

Artists working across all media are encouraged to submit works that explore how belonging is constructed, disrupted, or reinvented, and what it means to find, or make, one’s place in the world.

  • SPARK Your Life: Story Medicine for Modern Women with Tambra McCarthy

SPARK Your Life: Story Medicine for Modern Women
As we move further into the fall season—a natural time of release and renewal—SPARK Your Life invites you to align with the rhythm of nature and the deeper call of your soul.

It's also a perfect time to check in with 2025 being the Year of the Snake - which carries the energy of transformation and rebirth. Just as the snake releases its old skin, you are invited to let go of outdated stories and step fully into your truth.

This 3-part workshop series, led by Tami McCarthy, blends breathwork, mindfulness, and creative expression to help you reclaim your voice, reconnect with your inner fire, and be witnessed in your becoming.

Let this be your season of sacred transformation. Your story is sacred. Your voice is powerful. Your life is your art.

  • Warm Hearts, Warm Hands: CCNW + Yellow Studio Winter Collection Drive

This season, Yellow Studio’s Nature & Sustainability Club is proud to partner with the Community Center of Northern Westchester for their annual “Share the Warmth” Drive, supporting local children and families during the holidays.

From now through the end of November, we’ll be collecting new fleece blankets, warm hats, and cozy gloves for children from newborn to 18 years old. These essential items will help keep our community’s youngest members warm and cared for during the cold winter months.

  • Writing Club

Once monthly we will be dedicating space and time for writing in the Gallery. We'll use the first hour for writing, followed by discussion. If you're interested in turning your thoughts into words–but struggle to put pen to paper–these 'butt in seat' accountability sessions are a great way to get started! For Yellow Studio Members. As the season changes, so does the light. Our imagination follows, the end of longer days, the beginning of magical times. Beginning, ending, continuing. Light and dark, day and night, autumn turns to winter. What stories come with that? Submissions accepted September 1 to 22. Five pieces will be selected from the first twenty-five submissions received by September 22. The winners will read their work at the Writers’ Salon at Yellow Studio, in person, on Wednesday, October 29 at 7pm.
